This role is a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between theoretical research and practical industry application, with a core focus on forecasting consumer behavior.What You'll DoLead and mentor an AI research and development team, fostering an environment of academic rigor and innovation.Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning models, with a primary focus on multi-variate time series forecasting for consumer products.Apply advanced statistical, econometric, and optimization techniques to generate actionable insights from large, complex datasets.Write clean, scalable, and production-ready Python code to support modeling, data analysis, and pipeline development.Work within our modern data stack, leveraging platforms like Azure, Databricks, and Spark to process and analyze data at scale.Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and business teams to understand challenges, define problems, and implement data-driven solutions.Continuously research and implement cutting-edge methodologies in AI, machine learning, and quantitative analysis to drive innovation.Who You Are (Required Qualifications)A Master's or Ph D in a quantitative field such as Science (Physics, Biology, etc.), Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or Computer Science.A strong, demonstrable foundation in statistics and linear algebra.Proven experience in applying quantitative methods and machine learning to solve complex problems (in either an academic or industry setting).Expert-level proficiency in Python and its data science libraries (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, Num Py, statsmodels).Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.Must currently reside in Brazil.What Sets You Apart (Preferred Qualifications)Direct experience developing and implementing multi-variate time series forecasting models, especially in a consumer products or retail context.Hands-on experience with big data technologies like Databricks and Apache Spark.Familiarity with cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure.Based in or willing to work frequently from São Paulo.Join us and apply your deep quantitative expertise to shape the future of our industry.#Data Science #Data Scientist #Machine Learning #ML #Quantitative #Forecasting #Time Series #Python #Azure #Databricks #Spark #Hiring #Tech Jobs #Brazil #Sao Paulo #Vagas #Ciencia De Dados #Econometria
