Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Leader to join our team.This is a remote, full-time opportunity for individuals with 5+ years of software development experience.The successful candidate will have a strong background in React.js and experience with either Golang, Node.js, or Java.They will play a foundational role in building the core platform that enables power utilities to shift from decades-old legacy systems into an AI-native future.About the RoleThis position requires strong coding fundamentals, system design capability, and the mindset of a builder who thrives in a startup environment.You will work in small, agile teams reporting directly to the CTO, collaborating closely with AI engineers, security leaders, and product managers.Together, you will build and deliver AI-native services delivered at startup speed.Key ResponsibilitiesFront-End Development: Build, implement, and maintain front-end applicationsBack-End Architecture & Development: Design, implement, and maintain APIs, services, and distributed systems that form the backbone of our OSAi Integration: Collaborate with AI engineers to integrate models, embeddings, and agent services into back-end systems.Operate AI APIs, ensuring outputs are production-ready and aligned with enterprise utility requirements.System Modernization: Transform legacy workflows into modern, secure, scalable codebases using cloud-native best practicesSecurity & Compliance: Partner with security leaders to ensure all services adhere to stringent utility-sector regulations, implementing secure coding practices by defaultAgile Delivery: Deliver features and improvements in cycles measured in weeks, balancing speed with reliabilityRequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:Excellent English communication skills5+ years of software engineering experience in SaaS or enterprise environmentsStrong proficiency in React, Python, and either Golang, Node.js, or Java (non-Golang developers will learn and adopt Golang on the job)Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality code in fast-moving teamsBsic proficiency with AI/ML tooling (e.g., calling APIs, integrating model outputs)Solid understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL), message queues, and distributed architecturesCloud-native engineering experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)Clear communicator, adaptable, eager to learn and grow Ai capabilities over timeStrong sense of ownership and accountability in small teamsAbout UsWe are a privately held, nearshore software development company providing outsourced development resources to North American companies.Our mission is to offer development talent who enjoy taking on challenging work, want to grow their skills and experiences building software, and excel in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
