This role involves designing, developing and implementing custom ServiceNow applications to automate business processes.Key responsibilities include creating and configuring modules like ITSM, writing code in JavaScript, HTML and CSS, integrating with other systems and troubleshooting technical issues.Developers collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure platform stability across different environments.Core responsibilities:Application development: Build and configure custom ServiceNow applications, forms, workflows and scripts within the platform.Requirements and design: Work with business analysts and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Integration: Develop and maintain integrations with other IT systems and third-party tools using technologies like SOAP and REST web services.Maintenance and support: Provide ongoing production support, troubleshoot issues and manage platform upgrades and patches.Testing and quality assurance: Create test cases and perform quality checks to ensure the reliability and efficiency of new applications.Required skills and qualifications:Technical skills: Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML and CSS, along with experience in ServiceNow scripting.Platform knowledge: Hands-on experience with various ServiceNow modules such as IT Service Management or Configuration Management Database.Methodologies: Experience with Agile development methodologies like Scrum is required.Soft skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills are essential for gathering requirements and collaborating with team members.Education: A bachelor's degree in a related field is generally required.Certifications: ServiceNow Professional System Administrator certification or higher, Certified Application Developer (CAD) credential.Experience: 5+ years' experience as a ServiceNow developer with documented work experience.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ServiceNow configuration management best practices and be able to apply that knowledge to design and implement efficient solutions.They will also possess excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
