About UnderstoryUnderstory is a specialized agency focused on paid media management and go-to-market engineering for B2B SaaS companies.We believe in deep channel expertise combined with cross-channel integration to drive measurable pipeline growth for our clients.Our paid search team manages millions in annual ad spend across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, delivering consistent results for companies looking to scale their demand generation efforts.Scope of WorkAs Paid Search Strategist, you will provide the following services:Client Paid Search Account ServicesGeneral Paid Search ServicesServe as the primary account manager for clients who engage Understory for paid search servicesDesign and implement paid search strategies tailored to client needsProvide ongoing optimization and support for client accountsCampaign-Related ActivitiesManage regular optimizations of paid marketing campaignsEnsure proper tracking, attribution, and reporting for campaign performanceMonitor lead quality and volume for client accountsDeliverables and ExpectationsMaintain 6-8 client accounts and optimize accounts based on client goalsProvide weekly status updates on internal and client projectsRespond to client requests within 12 business hoursDeliver monthly performance reports and client relationship status reportsParticipate in client meetings as requiredActively monitor account budgets to ensure correct pacing40 hours of work expected per week (this is a full time position)Maintain documentation for account changes and budget pacingWhat We're Looking ForRequired Experience3+ years of hands-on experience managing paid search campaigns, preferably for B2B SaaS companiesProven track record managing significant monthly ad spend ($50k+ per month across accounts)Expert-level knowledge of Google Ads & Microsoft Ads platformsExperience with conversion tracking, attribution modeling, and performance measurementStrong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and data analysisTechnical SkillsAdvanced understanding of paid search platforms including campaign types, bidding strategies, and optimization techniquesExperience with all campaign types (Search, Display, Video, Demand Gen, etc.)Familiarity with tracking implementations, UTM parameters, and attribution methodologiesKnowledge of A/B testing methodologies and statistical significanceExperience with reporting tools and dashboard creationSoft SkillsExceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneouslyFull professional English fluency (both written and spoken)Strong communication skills for internal collaboration and client updatesProactive problem-solving approach with ability to work independentlyOrganized approach to campaign management and documentationComfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving prioritiesBonus QualificationsExperience with B2B SaaS marketing funnels and pipeline attributionFamiliarity with CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce) and marketing automation toolsKnowledge of Clay, Fibbler, or similar data enrichment and workflow automation toolsPrevious agency experience managing multiple client accountsUnderstanding of go-to-market strategies and demand generationWhat We OfferCompetitive salary commensurate with experienceOpportunity to work directly with Chris Chambers, our Head of Paid SearchAccess to cutting-edge tools and platforms for campaign management and optimizationCollaborative team environment with growth opportunitiesRemote-first culture with flexible working arrangementsProfessional development budget for continued learning and certificationsTo apply please follow the link to the official application form to submit:Thank you
