Job Description
Build, manage and lead the regional Tires Customs team responsible for the entire SOAM region.
Functional Lead of South America Customs Specialists (Customs Procedures).
Lead best practice exchanges, workshops, and calls with German and regional customs coordinators; proactively contribute to regular knowledge sharing calls.
Train and steer the South America/Americas Customs Community (audits, performance, reports, compliance, gap analysis, best practices, improvements).
* Perform monitoring of customs and foreign trade legal changes and implement countermeasures to ensure compliance and business value for Continental.
* Monitor conditions of customs authorizations granted to Continental entities in the South America Region.
* Support Customs CMS/ICS reporting cycles for all relevant entities in the region, define and execute follow-ups, ensure timely closing of weaknesses.
* Identify and communicate customs-related risks and opportunities to the Head of Customs Americas and other senior stakeholders globally.
* Proactively search for improvement opportunities, bring ideas, and prepare business cases and strategic presentations for management.
* Analyze Customs and Foreign Trade acts and their impact/chances for Continental; prepare presentations and roadmaps for implementation.
* Lead and track strategic and optimization projects, properly document achievements, and prepare regular progress reports.
Clarify with stakeholders, prepare presentations, and conduct trainings.
* Lead customs projects and innovations to ensure compliance, savings, and customer satisfaction within regional plants.
* Establish regular exchanges of best practices in the region.
* Participate in lobbying activities within association working groups and serve as a multiplier for initiatives towards the South America community.
* Facilitate external customs audits.
* Ensure the availability of a suitable Point of Contact/Audit Coordinator for auditors.
* Act as an audit coordinator, coordinating comprehensive, timely, and accurate communication between auditors and Continental entities.

Qualifications
University degree in business, finance, informatics, or interdisciplinary fields such as international business law, business informatics, or a related business degree.
