The company is led by Michael Antonov, a co-founder of Oculus, and funded by Formic Ventures.We are looking for an experienced Automated Software QA Engineer / Lead to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a strong command of English.
This role requires evening availability to ensure significant time overlap with Pacific Time to collaborate effectively with US-based employees.ResponsibilitiesAutomation Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient automated test scripts for web and backend servicesTest Case Creation: Analyze business and technical requirements to design and maintain comprehensive manual and automated test casesLeadership & Mentoring (if Lead): Guide and support other QA team members (manual and automation), ensure adherence to best practices, and drive quality initiativesQuality Assurance: Own the defect lifecycle — from discovery to resolution — ensuring high standards of quality across releasesCross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and US-based teams to align on quality expectations and project timelinesProcess Improvement: Identify gaps in test coverage, recommend QA process enhancements, and actively contribute to team knowledge sharingDocumentation: Maintain thorough and up-to-date documentation for test strategies, test cases, and automation processesRequired QualificationsExperience: Proven experience as an Automation QA Engineer, with a background in leading QA efforts or mentoring team members (for Lead-level candidates)Proficiency in coding and scripting with hands-on experience building advanced automation frameworksStrong working experience with JavaScript and TypeScript (TypeScript is a must)Solid experience with Playwright and/or CypressStrong experience with API testingProven experience in creating clear, thorough, and effective test cases and test plansFamiliarity with NestJS is a strong plusCommunication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishLeadership: Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor QA team members, promote QA best practices, and support continuous improvement (for Lead-level candidates)Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issuesFlexibility: Comfortable working evenings to overlap with U.S. Pacific Time and collaborating across time zonesPreferred QualificationsExperience with Agile methodologiesFamiliarity with tools such as Selenium, Appium, or other similar automation testing frameworksKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated testsExperience working with global teams and navigating timezone challengesWhat We OfferOpportunity to work with an international, distributed team and contribute to challenging and innovative projectsCompetitive salary and stock optionA collaborative environment where your input makes a real impactSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionOtherIndustriesIT Services and IT Consulting
