Location: Remote (LATAM-based candidates only)Salary Range: $****- $4,000 USD P monthAbout the RoleWe're looking for a highly autonomous, analytical Accountant to join a growing team in the CPG / manufacturing environment. This role goes beyond traditional accounting tasks and sits somewhere between a Super Senior Accountant and a Junior Controller.This person will not only handle day-to-day accounting responsibilities, but also bring strong analytical thinking, inventory and cost ownership, and troubleshooting skills. The ideal candidate is someone who can independently identify issues, understand why numbers don't make sense, and proactively propose solutions.This is a hands-on role for someone who has actually produced financial statements, not just reviewed them.Key ResponsibilitiesCore Accounting & Financial OwnershipProduce monthly financial statements (not just review them)Own full-cycle accounting processes in QuickBooks Online (required)Perform bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliationsEnsure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reportingInventory, COGS & Cost Analysis (Must-Have)Reconcile inventory and sales end-to-endOwn and analyze COGS and cost behaviorIdentify cost variances, inefficiencies, or inconsistenciesUnderstand how cost changes impact margins and performanceWork closely with inventory-heavy operations typical of CPG / manufacturingShopify & Sales Reconciliation (Must-Have)Reconcile Shopify sales against accounting recordsUnderstand sales flow, fees, payouts, and discrepanciesEnsure alignment between operational data and financialsTrade Spend & CPG-Specific AnalysisUnderstand and manage trade spend concepts common in CPG / wineriesAnalyze promotional spend and its financial impactBring ideas, improvements, and best practices to the teamPotentially help train or guide other team members with less experienceTroubleshooting & Problem Solving (Critical)Investigate issues when numbers don't match or processes breakGo beyond "I don't know" — identify root causes and fix problemsAct as a go-to person when things don't work as expectedWhat We're Looking ForMust-Have4–7 years of experience as an AccountantProven experience producing financial statementsStrong background in manufacturing and/or inventory-heavy environmentsSolid experience with inventory and sales reconciliationsHands-on experience reconciling ShopifyStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsQuickBooks Online experience (required)Nice to HaveExperience in CPG, food & beverage, wineries, or similar industriesFamiliarity with tools like A2X, C7, or similar inventory/sales platformsBachelor's degree in Accounting or related fieldCertifications or additional accounting trainingExperience mentoring or guiding junior team members
