Perform engineering design and analysis; Work may include Make Ready projects and/or capital/ reliability design (i.e. reconductor, voltage conversion, DG, FLISR, underground, etc. designs)Be responsible for QAQC tasks on your assigned team; You will play a role in quality reviews of your team's designs prior to submittals for client projectsReview engineering design packages with clients; Review and organize existing program workPerform scope analysis of work assigned and maintain schedule adherence to advocate client prioritiesInteract directly with clients on a frequent, as-needed basisProvide engineering support during construction, including post-construction reviews to ensure all applicable engineering and construction standards have been met.Coordinate conflicting utilities and other field engineering design requirements; Assist with work permit development, easements, and ROW applicationsBe comfortable in both a field and office setting; the role could possibly require some customer-site visits to collect field data that will assist in developing work packages; Candidates should posess a valid US Driver's licenseWhat Sets You Apart (Background Requirements)4+ years of relevant experience working electric distribution projects in a consulting environment for electric utilities or working directly at an electric utilityBachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited institution; Additional relevant experience can be considered in lieu of engineering-specific bachelor's degreeExperience and demonstrated proficiency with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC)Experience with engineering design quality controlFamiliarity with Pole Loading software (O-Calc, Pole Foreman, etc) and distribution pole analysisAbility to utilize a personal vehicle, as some customer-related travel could be anticipated (Job-related travel will be reimbursed at IRS-approved rates)Willingness to perform both field and office work;
