Highly Skilled Linux Engineer For Dynamic Data Systems

Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Linux Engineer to maintain and enhance our dynamic data systems.As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the uptime and performance of our global trading and data services.Key Responsibilities:Resolving complex data quality issues through root cause analysis and vendor management.Supporting on-call incident management, problem resolution, and change management.Ensuring optimal accuracy and timeliness of data in real-time, while implementing monitoring tools to detect data issues.Collaborating with regional and global market data infrastructure teams to share knowledge and experience, and enrich the team's capabilities.Managing L2 alerts, creating and updating resolutions into knowledge bases, run books, scripts, and ITRS rules where possible.Incident management, including managing the lifecycle of incidents from identification to resolution, mitigating business impact in the production environment.Change management, including managing the process of making production changes to the ticker plant, such as mandatory updates which include content software changes/upgrades performed by vendors or internal teams where only checkouts are necessary.Other tasks: release management, event management, user support, and reporting.Requirements:To be successful in this role, you will need:A minimum of 7 years of experience in infrastructure systems or production support roles.Highly skilled in Linux system administration.Experience in Windows operating systems.Scripting proficiency in Bash and/or Python preferred.Experience with networking and connectivity skills, e.g. multicast routing, switches, TCP/IP.Good communication and oral and written English skills is a must.Understanding of ITIL foundation and IT best practices.Prior experience in banking, investment or other financial IT environments is advantageous.Skills which are not mandatory but are advantageous.Benefits:We offer:A modern, dynamic, and future-oriented environment within a top global institution.Flexible working arrangements, fully remote or hybrid options.Continuous learning and certification opportunities.Competitive salary and benefits package.Long-term career prospects with international exposure.Inclusive multicultural team with regular knowledge sharing and team events.
