**Description**:
As a Field Scientist, you will play a crucial role in advancing traits above ground discovery projects.
Your collaboration will be essential for developing robust protocols to conduct research in this domain.
Your expertise in Agricultural Entomology will be instrumental in driving innovation and addressing key challenges related to Bts technology in major crops such as corn, soybeans, and cotton.
Key Responsibilities:
Protocol Development: You'll design and create comprehensive protocols for field and greenhouses experiments with biotechnology trials.
These protocols will guide data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
Biotechnology Evaluation: Your expertise will be crucial in evaluating the efficacy, safety, and environmental impact of transgenics on large-scale crops.
This evaluation contributes to sustainable pest management traits.
Collaboration: Working closely with interdisciplinary teams: entomologists, agronomists, and data scientists you'll foster collaboration to address complex agricultural challenges.
Macro Perspective: Develop a holistic understanding of the agricultural landscape.
Identify trends, emerging issues, and opportunities for improving the use of new Bts technology.
**Qualifications**:
PhD in Agricultural Entomology is highly desired.
Prior experience in field research, experimental design, and data analysis (with at least 4 to 6 years of experience).
Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and critical thinking related to trait-specific problems.
Proficiency in English is required.
