In this role, you will create top-quality textures and materials for use in gameplay, cinematics, and marketing materials.
You will primarily be working in the stylized realm, but should be comfortable doing photo-realistic work when needed.In this role, you willCreate textures and materials for characters, and on occasion, will work on additional assets such as backpacks and pickaxes based on concept art or reference photosCollaborate with the art director and the leads, and be able to give and receive feedbackWork in a clean and efficient manner within a team environmentBe forward-thinking and have the ability to help the team refine our technical pipelines so we can continue to push the boundaries of real-time character performanceWhat we're looking forAbility to create appealing textures for characters and other assets to bring life to the worlds we are creating in a wide range of stylesPossesses intimate knowledge of color theory, PBR lighting, and stylized texturing techniquesExpert Knowledge of Substance Painter or similarGood understanding and the ability to create new materials in UE4 or similarAbility to adapt to and innovate new styles and techniquesStrong organic texturing skills (human faces, clothing, believable creatures)Strong hard-surface texturing skills (armor, weapons)EPIC JOB + EPIC BENEFITS = EPIC LIFEWe pay 100% for benefits for both employees (EEs) and dependents (deps).
