Senior Staff Reservoir Simulation Engineer

CMG is seeking a Senior Staff Reservoir Simulation Engineer to join our Customer Success and Consulting team.This is a full-time, permanent position.As part of the growing costumer success and consulting team, the successful candidate will play an active role in delivering high quality consulting, support and training services to end users and customers of CMG in a global setting.CMG is a worldwide leader in its field, thanks to its great staff who consistently deliver superior technology and unparalleled customer service.The successful candidate will work as part of the Customer Success and Consulting team, under the direction of a Team Lead – CSC.The successful candidate will:Become very proficient with CMG's software suite, including the graphical pre- and post-processor.Play an active role in supporting CMG clients who use the software for a variety of challenging and leading-edge petroleum reservoir recovery processes.Teach advanced reservoir simulation training courses to CMG clients.Become part of an international consulting team and work on conventional, unconventional, thermal, chemical, compositional and energy transition reservoir studies.Will get an opportunity to develop broad knowledge and expertise in simulating various enhanced oil and gas recovery processes.Develop knowledge and expertise in emerging energy transition topics such as subsurface and wellbore modelling of CCS/CO2 Sequestration, geothermal, hydrogen storage, etc.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers within the reservoir simulation team.Act as a subject matter expert in reservoir simulation, providing guidance and expertise on complex projects and challenging technical issues.Take a lead role in engaging with clients, understanding their needs, and providing high-level technical support and expertise.Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and consultant on reservoir simulation matters.Lead and oversee multiple reservoir simulation projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction.Coordinate with internal teams, including software development, technical support, and sales, to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.The above statements are intended only to describe the general nature of the job and should not be construed as an all-inclusive list of position responsibilities.EducationCivil Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geology post-secondary degree or related graduate or post-graduate degree.Knowledge & SkillsThis is a technical role that will require a good understanding of reservoir engineering concepts, enhanced recovery methods and reservoir simulation concepts.Experience in advanced processes such as enhanced oil recovery (EOR) or emerging energy transition processes an asset.Excellent technical and communication skills and a collaborative approach towards clients and colleagues.Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Self-motivated, results focused team player with a positive attitude and ability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment.Ability to clearly advise clients on technical matters.Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.Familiarity with state-of-the-art engineering software.Hands-on experience with CMG simulation software or any other reservoir simulator an asset.Require minimal supervision and have very good time management and communication skills both in written and verbal English.Working proficiency of company standard MS Windows and associated office productivity software tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).All applicants must be legally entitled to live and work in Brazil.Be customer focused, learn about the business to help bring value to our customers.Team focused with a positive attitude, must be self-motivated, and have very good time management and communication skills both in written and verbal English.ExperienceMinimum of 15 years of experience is required.No need to call us about the status of your application.We promise—we're reviewing every submission, and if your skills are a match, you'll hear from usWe kindly request that external recruiters and agencies refrain from submitting unsolicited resumes or candidate profiles.Submissions without a signed agreement in place will not be considered and will become the property of CMG.About UsInnovators in Simulation TechnologyCMG (TSX:CMG) is a global software and consulting company that combines science and technology with deep industry expertise to solve complex subsurface and surface challenges for the new energy industry around the world.CMG is headquartered in Calgary, AB, with offices in Houston, London, Dubai, Bogota, Rio de Janeiro, Bengaluru, and Kuala Lumpur.For more information, please visit#J-*****-Ljbffr
