Safety Engineering Manager Company: BBST - Brazil Boeing Brazil is seeking Safety Engineering Manager to join our Safety and Airworthiness team Boeing Brazil, São José dos Campos .Our team is actively engaged with airplane programs that currently include ****** MAX, *****, ***** Freighter, and in production and/or future product development programs.We also work supporting airplane modifications, and reviewing, updating, and creating safety processes and the associated training material.As a Safety Engineering Manager , you will manage a team the performs critical airplane technical analysis with high visibility across Boeing.The selected candidate will play an integral role in ensuring safe airplane operations and design.Our team works hard to build relationships with our customers across all of engineering and programs.To do this we must be technically savvy, great communicators, and have a passion to learn more.We are involved in every aspect of designing and certifying our products and must maintain an unrelenting focus on compliance, safety, and product integrity without compromise.If you are ready for a challenging new role that is critical to the success of our programs, then this might be the job for you.Successful candidates will be reliable, trustworthy, and accountable for delivering results.Familiarity with ARP-****, ARP-****, safety analysis, and hazard assessments will greatly benefit you in this role.Primary Responsibilities: Manage engineers performing technical activities in the area of integration of safety processes across multiple functional teams Develop and maintain relationships with BCA Program, Enterprise Safety, Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Functional Team leaders as well as collaborate with regulators Create and maintain a culture of open communication and collaboration with focus on continuous improvement and knowledge transfer Promote talent acquisition and retention within the team by ensuring career development of direct reports, promoting employee recognition, and building a team culture that improves employee satisfaction Establish and implement integrated team plans (e.g. budgets, schedules, performance standards) to ensure business, technical and customer requirements are achieved This position is expected to be 100% onsite.The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Must have existing rights to work in Brazil Must have a Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Engineering Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).Applicable to Brazilian, recent engineering graduates within 6 months and foreign engineers when the employer is willing visa sponsor Fluent in both written and verbal English Senior level of experience in an engineering role Experience in leadership either formally or informally leading teams in a cross-functional environment Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Strong motivation to prioritize retaining, developing, and growing team members Strong communication skills, both written and spoken with a varied audience Experience with leading technical cross functional teams, working across organizational boundaries, and ensuring an inclusive environment Experience with Systems Engineering
