Chief Desktop Software Architect

We are looking for a seasoned technical leader to spearhead our C# desktop applications and support the migration strategy to Microsoft 365.This role combines leadership, team mentorship, and technical expertise during a period of transformation.The ideal candidate will contribute by:Oversleeping daily operations and coordinating work across distributed teams.Leading release management and escalation handling for enterprise customers.Conducting performance reviews, career development, and team capacity planning.Mentoring engineers, providing coaching, and supporting professional growth.Participating in recruiting and hiring for desktop development and enterprise integration roles.Collaborating with product management to refine requirements and prioritize work.Facilitating technical discussions, architecture decisions, and cross-team collaboration.Managing customer relationships and providing technical leadership during escalations.Defining architectural designs for desktop-to-cloud migration.Building compliance frameworks for enterprise security.Designing backward compatibility strategies during platform transitions.Implementing performance monitoring and reporting systems.Planning technical debt reduction while ensuring production stability.Developing API integration patterns for enterprise platform services.Developing and maintaining desktop applications using C#/.NET, WPF, and Win32.Building Office Add-ins (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for enterprise integration.Architecting email client solutions with advanced features (e.g., encryption, folder mapping).Implementing file synchronization, document import/export, and installer systems (MSI, WiX).Integrating authentication (OAuth 2.0, SAML, Azure AD) and enterprise security features.Optimizing multi-threaded applications for high-volume document processing.Working with REST APIs and cloud services for connectivity.Maintaining legacy codebases while guiding modernization efforts.We require a bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering and at least 7 years of experience working with Windows desktop development using C#/.NET, including hands-on work with WPF, WinForms, or Win32 APIs.Additional qualifications include experience with Microsoft Office integrations, enterprise authentication systems, email protocols, team leadership, installer/deployment technologies, cloud integration, and enterprise security implementations.Our company prioritizes employee well-being, offering competitive salaries, remote work opportunities, paid time off, national holidays, sick leave, refundable annual credits, team-building activities, and birthday day offs.We value diversity, open communication, and respect as core values, fostering an environment that supports personal and professional growth.
