Purchasing Manager

Reporting to the Head of Purchasing, the Purchasing Manager will be responsible for leading a materials and sourcing management team, ensuring the continuous and efficient supply of manufacturing operations.The role focuses on mitigating supply risks, strengthening integration with internal and external stakeholders, and supporting business continuity while ensuring compliance with international quality, regulatory, and sustainability standards.Main ResponsibilitiesLead the purchasing and materials management team, promoting strong integration with internal areas such as planning, operations, inventory management, and engineering.Ensure adherence to local and global supply strategies, maintaining continuity of supply, competitive cost structures, quality standards, and environmental, social, and governance requirements.Negotiate and improve supplier lead times, delivery flexibility, and minimum order quantities, while ensuring compliance with logistical and operational requirements.Maintain effective control of inventory levels and implement forward-looking purchasing strategies to reduce supply risks.Manage excess and obsolete materials, minimizing financial exposure and acting proactively to mitigate risks related to last-minute purchasing decisions.Participate in strategic alignment forums and regular reviews with regional and global stakeholders.Anticipate and address material shortage scenarios by identifying alternative supply options and developing contingency strategies.Prepare periodic reports and presentations on performance indicators and process controls, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.Evaluate, propose, and lead improvements in purchasing systems, controls, and performance metrics, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Technical RequirementsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.Proven experience in supply chain management, purchasing, materials planning, inventory management, and international logistics processes.Advanced knowledge of sales and operations planning processes, material requirements planning, and demand and supply planning tools.Advanced proficiency in English for interaction with international teams and leadership of globally distributed resources.Strong knowledge of enterprise resource planning systems, warehouse management systems, planning systems, and standard office productivity tools.Understanding of applicable local regulatory frameworks related to the technology and manufacturing sector.Innovation: Ability to encourage and implement innovative solutions in supply chain processes, systems, and strategies.Proactive mindset toward improvement opportunities and adoption of new technologies.Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, anticipate risks, and support strategic decision-making using analytical and reporting tools.Leadership: Demonstrated capability to lead cross-functional teams in dynamic and fast-paced environments.Results Orientation: Strong focus on performance, resilience under pressure, and accountability for outcomes.Communication: Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to positively influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.Key DifferentiatorsExperience in supply chain management within complex or technology-driven industries.Knowledge of international trade processes and global regulatory compliance.Postgraduate qualification in Management, Logistics, or Project Management.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionPurchasing, Management, and Supply ChainIndustriesIndustrial Machinery Manufacturing#J-*****-Ljbffr
