Represent the company before executive branch agencies, legislative bodies, regulatory authorities, in coordination with other internal teams.
To do so, identify and ensure current awareness of key external constituencies, including Governmental & Non-Governmental Organizations and key opinion leaders that may have a positive/negative impact on our business.Work closely with outside consultants responsible for helping develop the strategy and supporting the execution of the strategy.Partner with key constituents (internal/external) to determine the most appropriate direction for building relationships and avoiding harmful legislative or regulatory action.
Identify potential threats and opportunities; seek to build alliances and coalitions with key customers and other interested third parties, where appropriate.Manage multidimensional projects across business units/region, successfully navigating throughout the organization to partner effectively with individuals from other departments and deliver results.The position will be accountable for identifying, convening and leading internal work groups to evaluate impact of public policy decisions, and/or to analyze pending proposals and associated business and logistical implications; as well as provide updates and communications on prospective and pending regulatory and legislative proposals and policy issues, and the surrounding political landscape to the global Government Affairs & Policy team and senior management.Support Legal Department in managing the timely submission of regulatory filings and developing responses to regulatory requests in a strategic manner, in accordance with internal processes and procedures.Frequent travel is required, primarily within LAC Brazil Division, to meet with policymakers, businesspeople and customers.All About YouExtensive experience working in public policy, legislative, or government affairs positions in a corporate, association, or governmental context (preferably in the payments industry or financial services sector).
