Business Unit: Umtshezi Private HospitalPosted: **********, Closing: **********DescriptionA vacancy exists for a Quality Manager reporting to the Hospital Manager.The successful candidate will form part of the multidisciplinary team ensuring that all our patients receive comprehensive quality nursing care.Critical OutputsRisk Management assessment of all relevant clinical procedures and implementation of controls.Quality management and infection control.Compiling and management of quality processes in the hospital.Managing, reporting, investigation and close out of all quality and environmental incidents and deviations to standards in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team.Measuring performance against the quality objectives, evaluating the results and co-ordinate corrective action where necessary, together with the multidisciplinary team.Conducting risk assessments on an annual basis, together with multidisciplinary team, in accordance with legal requirementsMonitoring and review of hazard/risk management quarterly, together with multidisciplinary team.Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of actions taken to mitigate/control risk, together with the multidisciplinary team.Maintaining and updating of risk register.Coordinating the hospital Health & Safety Committee meetings.Ensuring that all legal appointments are made, staff trained in the requirements of such appointments and legal requirements are adhered to.Guiding the Hospital Manager on health and safety related issues to ensure that the legal requirements are adhered to for staff safety.Coordination of employee injuries and occupational disease reporting - internally and externally..RequirementsRegistered with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse.Advantageous - Diploma in Healthcare Management, Risk management and infection controlKnowledge and skill in quality assurance, improvement of quality, infection control, health and safety, training and development, risk management and administrationAt least 3 years' experience in private healthcare.Collaboration/ Relationship BuildingProblem-solving, analysis and judgementResilienceOrganisational awarenessExcellence and quality orientationEthical behaviourTechnical and professional knowledgeDepartmentsManagementUmtshezi Private Hospital is an equal opportunity employer, external candidates will also be considered.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, should you not receive any communication after 2 weeks of closing date kindly consider your application as unsuccessful.#J-*****-Ljbffr
