About the roleAs a SDET Engineer, you'll take ownership of building and driving a modern testing culture from the ground up.
This role goes beyond traditional QA — you'll design and evolve automated testing frameworks, guide developers in adopting a shift-left approach, and ensure quality is integrated throughout the entire development lifecycle.
By combining your Python expertise with a passion for testing excellence, you'll play a key role in delivering reliable, scalable software that makes an impact.ResponsibilitiesBecome the first SDET in the team and define how we approach testing.Drive the testing infrastructure and ensure high-quality standards across our product.Mentor and support developers to take ownership of their own testing.Collaborate closely with engineers to co-own and write automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end, performance).
Promote a "shift-left" QA mindset, embedding testing throughout the development process rather than leaving it as a final stage.Continuously improve our testing practices, tools, and processes to increase efficiency and reliability.Must havesStrong experience of at least 4 years as a Python engineer (building production systems).
Proven track record designing and implementing automated testing frameworks.
Hands-on experience with unit, integration, end-to-end, and performance/load testing.
Product-focused mindset with curiosity about the bigger picture.
Proactive, takes ownership, and responsible for outcomes.
Bias for action: able to quickly test, iterate, and make decisions without getting stuck.
Scrappy mindset: focus on delivering business value over unnecessary perfection.
Ability to thrive in a fully remote, collaborative environment with honesty and radical candor.
Full overlap with Eastern European Time or at least 6+ hours.
Upper-Intermediate English level.Nice to haveExperience with Python web frameworks (Django, FastAPI).
Frontend experience (testing approaches and frameworks such as Vue.js or React).
