CMA Recruitment Group are working with a well-established and exciting company based in Basingstoke, Hampshire for a newly created opportunity due to ongoing growth and projects.
The Credit Controller will play a key role in managing customer credit risk, supporting the credit team through effective credit assessments and account management.
You will be responsible for customer data maintenance and resolving queries and you will also be required to deputise for the Team Leader.What will the Credit Controller role involve?
• Assess and approve new customer account applications, performing credit checks and risk analysis• Establish and review credit limits based on financial data, payment history, and risk appetite• Manage credit insurance policies by submitting and tracking claims and applying for limits.
• To resolve customer maintenance queries within our service level.
• Maintain accurate records of credit decisions and bad debt accounts.
• To support and deputise for the Credit Team leader, and be able to support the team when the team leader is out of the office.
• Providing excellent service and support, to agreed standards for our customers and publishers, taking ownership of all queries• Administering and supporting the customer maintenance function within the team• Assisting the team in chasing payments and providing cover for the teamSuitable Candidate for the Credit Controller vacancy:• At least 3 years of credit experience• A relevant Credit qualification (CICM level 3 preferred or QBE)• Good organisation and time management skills• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Familiarity with credit checking tools• Ability to work independently, but able to support team members.Additional benefits and information for the role of Credit Controller:• Hours of work will be 9.00am-5.00pm Monday to Friday• Hybrid working (currently 3 office days/2 WFH)• Fantastic benefits including Private Medical Insurance• Enhanced employer pension contributions• Employee discounts• 25 days holiday• On-site canteen and free parkingCMA Recruitment Group is acting as a recruitment agency in relation to this role.
