The Middle Office Accounting Associate shall be assigned to participate as an Expert key user in Accounting transformation projects, including but not limited to IT system rollout, process harmonization and new business tender & onboarding.Key Result AreasAccounting CalculationsPerform the calculations related to Bad Debts.Perform the calculations related Provisions and accruals.Perform the calculations related Fixed Asset.Closing ReviewEnsure data quality, accuracy and timeliness of the postings done into the accounting systems and provide feedback on the identified recurring issues.Perform Sanity Check on Suspense Account, premiums/service revenue/claims/commissions, payroll, investments, FX and Tax.Ensure Closing Quality Assurance and the compliance with standard booking schemes and the Accounting Policy.Perform review of balance sheet reconciliations.Monitor and report progress of the closing.Supervise and/or perform upload of Financials in Consolidation tool,Perform post-mortem review of the closing review process to identify, monitor and resolve issues and design and implement improvements to the process.Regulatory ReportingPerform and communicate Statutory Reporting.Perform and communicate Regulatory Reporting.Perform and communicate Specific Reporting.Accounting process automation and enhancementSupport transformation projects related to Accounting Processes and Regulatory Reporting as a Subject Matter Expert, including but not limited to IT system rollout, process harmonization and new business tender & onboarding.Key SkillsEfficiencyStrong analytical skills.Ability to synthesize.Ability to consolidate large volume of data into structured and simple outputs.Ability to arbitrate and prioritize.Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.Solutions and results oriented.Openness and flexibility to address challenges from various perspectives in order to find the best possible way to manage the challenge.AccountabilityCapacity to learn.Ability to undertake initiative.Customer service.Ability to innovate and seek for advances in technology and practices.CommunicationExcellent written and verbal communication (English is a must ; an additional language specific to the area of assignment is a plus).
