We need someone to design and develop services that facilitate global financial transactions worth billions (USD) annually.A Software Development Engineer (SDE) at Amazon works on real world problems on a global scale, owns their systems end to end and influences the direction of our technology that impacts hundreds of millions of customers around the world. You can expect to design flexible and scalable solutions, and work on some of the most complex challenges in large-scale computing by utilizing your skills in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming. Our groups are organized in the following fronts: BEN - Black Employee Network, Women@Amazon, Glamazon (LGBTQIA+) and People With Disabilities.Key job responsibilities- Develop projects through the entire software life cycle, from requirement assessment and service design to interface creation, code development, rigorous testing, and final deployment for our tax customers.- Evaluate, recommend, and leverage a diverse array of AWS technologies, including Lambda, Fargate, EMR, SNS/SQS, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RedShift, S3, and other cutting-edge tools to architect and construct highly scalable technical solutions that drive innovation and efficiency within our projects.- Design and code technical solutions using Java, Spark, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, and various other programming languages to deliver substantial value to our clientes.- Build iteratively using agile methodologies.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
