2nd Officer (2/O) - Skandi Africa
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Officer in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
- Responsible for the navigation and maneuvering of the vessel.
- Supervise the deck crew during cargo operations, mooring, and anchoring.
- Maintain accurate navigational charts and publications.
- Conduct regular safety drills and provide training to crew members.
- Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and company policies.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a 2nd Officer on similar vessels.
- Second mate
- STCW II/2
- HUET
- CAEBs
- DP Full
- Valid STCW certification, including Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch (OICNW).
- Proficient in the use of navigational equipment and electronic chart systems.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a multicultural environment.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Valid passport and seafarer's medical certificate.
