Their extensive product portfolio enables companies to transform ideas into impactful technology.Role: Wire/Cable Senior R&D/Product Development EngineerCollaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and launch new power connector and cable assembly products for data center applications.Lead and manage the entire product development lifecycle, from customer insights to product end-of-life.Work closely with customers, sales, and project managers to gather and evaluate voice of customer (VOC) data and make engineering proposals.Support project teams in completing projects on time, within budget, and with quality, following LEANPD processes.Drive product development, scale-up, and release through stage-gate reviews, ensuring milestones are met.Develop and manage product documentation, including requirements, design, and testing plans.Coordinate with manufacturing, procurement, and suppliers to meet technical, quality, and cost objectives.Identify and qualify new components and technologies with suppliers.Conduct design verification and validation testing to ensure specifications are met.Assist in transitioning products to manufacturing.Mentor junior engineers and technicians.Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify innovation opportunities.Build understanding of customer needs and applications to develop suitable solutions.Provide technical support to customers, sales, and manufacturing teams, including testing and troubleshooting.Partner with global customers and centers to introduce breakthrough technologies and enhance business growth.Apply engineering best practices to reduce costs and sustain existing products to meet customer targets.Qualifications and experienceBachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.At least 10 years of product development experience, with 5+ years in cable assembly or connector-related roles.Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.Experience with product development, testing, and compliance certification.Proficiency in design for manufacturing and cost optimization.Ability to work independently and in global, multidisciplinary teams.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeIndustriesAppliances, Electrical, and Electronics Manufacturing
