•Lead the development and implementation of the company's overall tax planning strategy to optimize tax efficiency and minimize the organization's tax liabilities;
•Conduct thorough analysis of the company's operations, transactions, and financial data to identify opportunities for tax savings and planning;
•Stay up-to-date on the latest changes in Brazilian tax laws, regulations, and incentives, and evaluates their impact on the business;
•Collaborates closely with the accounting, finance, and legal teams to align tax planning with the company's broader business objectives;
•Prepare detailed tax planning recommendations and proposals, presenting them to senior leadership for approval and
•Coordinate the implementation of approved tax planning strategies, ensuring proper documentation and execution.A day in the lifeA day in the lifeThis position is not directly involved in day-to-day indirect taxes compliance but is responsible for delivering the advisory planning, real time coordination, and communication of various tax-related projects across regions, including supporting engagements and negotiations with external advisors, government bodies, tax authorities, and auditors.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Solid tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- Advanced to fluent in English- Experience with Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Essbase and Oracle Financial Applications- Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax departmentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- CPA, or J.D.- Experience maintaining and operating transaction tax calculation software (e.g. Vertex)Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
