About Metris EnergyAt Metris, we're on a mission to accelerate the energy transition by helping solar owners manage their asset(s) autonomously. Our work combines deep engineering challenges (data ingestion, scalability, event-driven architectures) with meaningful impact — enabling smarter, cleaner energy infrastructure.The RoleWe're looking for aFull Stack Software Engineerto help evolve our solar asset monitoring and automation platform. You'll play a critical role in building features end-to-end, delivering both backend services and frontend experiences. You'll work closely with our product, data, and design teams to build new features in our platform such as ingesting new types of data and delivering real-time insights to solar owners.What You'll DoDesign, build, and maintain backend services and APIs inNode.js/TypeScript/Pythonthat power our core platform.Build and improve data-intensive workflows and features.Develop intuitive, high-performance UI components and pages usingmodern frontend frameworks(e.g., React/Next.js).Integration of AI/ML systems to deliver features that delight customers.Translate UX designs into polished features, ensuring responsiveness, accessibility, and high usability.What We're Looking For5+ years of backed development experience inNode.js/TypeScriptStrong understanding ofasynchronous programmingandnon-blocking I/OExperience withExpress.jsandApollo/GraphQL, or similar frameworksSolid experience designingRESTand/orGraphQL APIsProficiency withPostgreSQLor similar relational databasesStrong debugging, testing, andperformance optimizationskills, across node.js and PostgreSQLFamiliarity withAWS services(ECS, DynamoDB, SNS/SQS, lambda etc.)Strong written and verbal English is essentialWhy Join UsBuild software that directly accelerates renewable energy adoptionHybrid work in Vittoria - including dedicated work space and socialsCompetitive salaryJoin asmall, high-performing teamwhere your impact is visible dailySolve tough technical challenges in a quickly scaling product
