This role is for a strategic thinker with strong design execution skills and a deep understanding of brand systems. You'll help shape and scale our visual storytelling, building cohesive brand expressions that drive engagement and recognition across campaigns, events, and experiences.This role focuses on evolving and extending visual identity systems and applying brand guidelines across digital and physical touchpoints. You'll design multi-channel marketing assets spanning email, paid media, social, web, and print, with an eye for consistency and craft. The ideal candidate also brings strengths in web and motion design to support a multidisciplinary team.While an individual contributor role, you'll collaborate closely with other designers—offering thoughtful critique, feedback, and informal mentorship—and partner cross-functionally to create design that resonates with our audience and reinforces our brand story.In this role, you will:Build upon and evolve brand guidelines by establishing sophisticated visual systems that align with business goals.Proactively propose solutions to help improve project outcomes across a range of project types, including marketing and product.Conceptualize and execute high-impact design across diverse formats: digital & print, event identities, promotional assets, and marketing materials that extend the Teachable brand.Demonstrate versatility in applying design thinking to varied channels while maintaining cohesion across all output.Foster a collaborative environment and work closely with stakeholders and cross-functional stakeholders including web, product marketing, growth, and events—to ensure creative execution aligns with GTM strategy, brand objectives, and campaign goals.Provide mentorship to junior designers on the team.Present creative concepts to teams across the organization in a clear and compelling manner.Strive to maintain the brand standard across all projects and ensure consistency.Manage end-to-end production for creative deliverables, including preparing files for presentations, cross functional partners, print vendors, and event production.Build trusted relationships with cross-functional peers through clear communication, curiosity, and accountability.Contribute motion design and animation to campaigns, launches, or brand moments that deepen storytelling and audience engagement.Stay up to date on design trends and tools, with a particular focus on leveraging AI in design workflowsWhat you'll bring:Experience: 5+ years of visual design experience, with a strong focus on branding and performance marketingExperience working collaboratively alongside fellow designers and/or offering mentorship/coaching to other designersSkills: Excels in the Adobe Creative Suite and FigmaPortfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects and assets (including email, social, paid advertising, print, etc.), plus motion designStrong design sensibility with attention to detail, typography, and visual storytelling.Ability to adapt to brand guidelines while pushing creative boundaries; experience refining and scaling brand guidelines.Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally with marketers, designers, and content creators.Self-starter with excellent organizational and time-management skills.Understanding: Demonstrated understanding of brand identities, digital marketing principles, website design best practices, and performance marketing metrics.Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate design concepts to stakeholders and gather feedback.Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities.Nice to have:Experience working in SaaS, edtech, or within the creator economy.Familiarity with video editing tools (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar).Knowledge of current trends in motion design, animation, and paid and social media.While Teachable maintains our NY office for local employees to use, we operate as a remote-first culture in order to give our employees added flexibility.
