Platform Engineer | Remote - Brazil | $25–$30 per hour | 12 monthsRole:Platform EngineerLocation:Remote (Candidate must be based in Brazil)Contract Type: Contract/12-month contract (extension likely)Rate:$25–$30 per hourLanguage:English B2/C1Role OverviewWe are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong software development background to partner with development teams and drive engineering excellence across delivery pipelines, tooling, and workflows. This role is focused on development enablement—not traditional infrastructure migration or operations.You will embed CI/CD best practices, improve code quality, accelerate delivery, and enable teams to build, test, and deploy software safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is hands-on, autonomous, and comfortable owning problems end-to-end—from design through delivery.Key Skills & ResponsibilitiesStrong software development background (Java/Go/Python), transitioning into DevOps / Platform EngineeringProven experience in a development-first DevOps roleHands-on expertise with CI/CD tooling: GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQubeStrong scripting and development skills: Python, Bash, PowerShellExperience with automated test pipelines, code quality, static analysis, and software metricsFamiliarity with cloud-based development environments (AWS beneficial, but not heavy infrastructure)Experience with container-based development workflows (Docker)Strong understanding of Agile development and modern DevOps cultureExperience with AI-powered development or DevOps tooling is a plusWhat This Role Is NotNot focused on infrastructure migration or operationsNot a traditional systems or network administration positionNot focused on data centre, hardware, or heavy cloud operationsIf this sounds like the right opportunity, please apply with an updated CV or contact me for a confidential discussion malakai.bulley@edisonsmart.comPlatform Engineer | Remote - Brazil | $25–$30 per hour | 12 months
