Growth Marketer in Global Running Company – part-time with room to grow into Head of Marketing
Há 7 dias
Hi... My name is Lena, and I am the founder of Go Running Tours. This is not your usual job post. Instead of writing a fast-paced, bullet-pointed post with the words driven, team player, high performer, etc., I thought I would give it a go at simply writing the good, the bad, and the ugly about being a Growth Marketer with Go Running Tours.Maybe no one will reply. Maybe many will. I just need one really good oneSo let's start. Our new Growth Marketer will be responsible for all our marketing activities for B2C and B2B clients. Our current markets are growing (some by 100+%) and we are constantly looking for new channels and markets to sell our services.Your marketing DNA has to be of the rare kind that is analytical and structured, while also having the creativity to craft great copy, see new opportunities, and connect the dots between B2C and B2B. I am looking for a colleague who works systematically with new ideas and markets, has attention to detail, and gets super excited about the responsibility you are given and the fact that the world is your marketing playground. We are lucky that sometimes amazing opportunities (that - if you are a runner and marketeer - probably will make you do cartwheels) land in our turban . You'll be working on a newsletter and pling...an email lands in your inbox from Brooks, or Lululemon, or Abbott World Marathon Majors. Whoop whoopOther times, results come from your structured and clever efforts over time. Not because we got it right the first time, but because we kept on researching, learning, testing and voilà: now you nailed it Our clients include US Bank, Goldman Sachs, Amex, Google, Accenture and runners of equal awesomeness from all over the worldWe also work with some of the biggest names in the running industry (NDA signed ) and in the future, with your help, many more...right? .I am looking for someone in constant growth mode. Growth in terms of always looking for new opportunities to grow the business. Growth in terms of testing an initiative in one city and then scaling it to the rest of our destinations. Growth in terms of taking the time to research new tech, new ways of doing things, and current trends.Email marketing is a strong channel of ours, and if you get a thrill from optimising flows, building smart automations, and digging into data to make things work better and smarter, then this is your playground. We already send regular newsletters that do well, BUT someone with a data/automation mindset who puts their Sherlock Holmes hat on will, without a doubt, be able to optimise this tremendously. And have loads of fun with it. I personally love testing new ideas, so know that you'll have me and colleagues from all over the world cheering you on every step of the way. You'll also own our digital advertising efforts. That means planning and running campaigns on Meta and Google, exploring new platforms, and keeping an eye on what actually moves the needle. We don't throw spaghetti at the wall here: we test, learn, and scale what works. You'll also get to create clever case studies, explore sponsorship opportunities, and pitch bold ideas that help us reach new runners, new companies, and new destinations. If you spot a gap, we want you to fill it (and we'll back you while you do).You will be working directly with me in the role. I love my job, and every day I am utterly grateful that I work in a company with a concept that "makes sense" to me, and with colleagues who are skilled, helpful, and positive. I love running, and I have the pleasure of working with runners from all over the world and together, we cater for the best customer group in the world: runnersSome people may find me difficult to work with, as I am impatient, I focus radically on progress, and I dislike sloppiness (with a passion). Most people, I believe (or at least hope), also find me kind, fun, optimistic, trusting, and understanding (admittedly still very little understanding for sloppiness ;-)). My guess is that if you are good at what you do and eager to excel in this role, we will end up best buddiesWe work remotely and have only 2–3 hours of internal meetings a week. All other time is reserved for deep work and basically getting things done. There is always time for a call, and we are all on Slack, so you're never left alone in any way. We're just on the other side of the world .The salary is not one that will secure you a Ferrari or a holiday to Mauritius (at least not to begin with). It is a salary that should be comfortable and is based on reduced working hours, so you can have a fun and fulfilling life besides work. The money should not be the main motivation for you - running, bridging cultures, and being part of a fun, fast-moving, and positive company should. The contract details are as follows:USD 1,400 a month25 hrs a weekManaged via UpworkOh, and hey... if you're considering this role as an add-on to an already existing full-time job, then hold your horses . I don't believe in my colleagues working 60+ hours a week, and it simply doesn't align with our company values. We want you to have the energy, focus, and headspace to do great work and enjoy life outside of it.The most important traits to bring to the role are being a fast mover, a super collaborator, and having a drive to grow... the business and yourself. But the most important skill of all is: execution. If we don't execute, we can't move the needle. That's it, I think. I've probably left out loads of super important things, but at least this gives you some idea.If you feel this role could be for you, then please write to me via dreamjob@gorunningtours.com with a short spiel on why you feel you're right for the role and why you would like to work at Go Running Tours (no AI please - we want to know the real you, not the ChatGPT version ).Thanks for reading this far,LenaNote: we usually take down our job posts within 3-4 days as we receive many applicants.
