The Finance Coordinator will in close collaboration with the Program Managers and Head of Support Service, ensure that Humanitarian program grants/finance is run in an efficient and appropriate manner according to donor requirements, and that Program Managers and implementing partners are provided with sufficient and good quality finance information to support their decisions for the project implementation. The Finance Officer supports Humanitarian Response Activities implemented by DCA Ukraine and Partners. Also, the Finance Coordinator should ensure that the programme is compliant with the Ukrainian policies and laws including but not limited to the Labour Law. 

The position will be based at the DCA office in Kyiv, with travels to other DCA sites in Ukraine expected. 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Finance:

Coordinate all finance activities in Ukraine Coordinate projects’ budgets, monitor the expenditures and costs, ensure budget lines are spent in a timely and efficient manner; Processing payments, expenditures and disbursements, bookkeeping of transactions into Maconomy; Prepare monthly payroll, including the calculation and recording of applicable benefits (Taxes and social security) in the payroll spreadsheet. Potential capacity building of future finance staff in Ukraine Coordination of the financial monitoring and support of DCA Ukraine partner organisations  Prepare reconciliation of cash, inter-company accounts as well as all bank accounts in Ukraine monthly basis and quarterly basis. Processing payments, expenditures and disbursements, bookkeeping of transactions into Maconomy; Ensure all expenditures are carried out in accordance with the DCA and donor requirements, and all relevant files for documentation are created, updated, and maintained; Prepare all documentation required for audits; Send a monthly report to the Finance Manager covering relevant aspects of finance Plan, develop, implement and maintain appropriate standards, best practices and procedures across DCA Ukraine Any other duties, as requested by Head of Support Services and management.

We are looking for the following qualifications and experience:

A master’s degree in a relevant field or similar work experience A minimum of 3 years of work experience in a similar role Computer literacy essential including proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.; Fluency in written and spoken English and Ukrainian

Preferably NGO experience 

Work related travels are expected in this position.
