Key Account Manager, Personal Care, Industrial Specialties Division, Brazil/LA

Collaborate with innovative 3Mers around the world

As a Key Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing our largest global and regional accounts, specifically within the disposable diaper manufacturing sector in Brazil and Latin America, as part of the Personal Care Business Unit at 3M. This position involves overseeing sales management and new business development, with significant engagement with key stakeholders, including purchasing, R&D, quality assurance, and production planning, as well as strategic and support functions within 3M. In addition to managing base business operations, you will be responsible for initiating and overseeing new business development for both existing and prospective clients. You will also play a crucial role in the development of new products and applications. Furthermore, you will collaborate with global teams to support multinational accounts, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives.

The impact you will make in this role

You will manage local, regional, and global accounts throughout the region, overseeing all aspects of account operations. You will lead the product specification and qualification processes for both existing and prospective clients. You will serve as the voice of the customer and consumer, driving initiatives and developing new products to sustain and expand business opportunities. You will implement key account plans and cultivate high-level relationships with key stakeholders to align with customers’ strategic agendas. You will be responsible for internal reporting, conducting market analysis, and facilitating periodic business performance reviews. You will engage with internal stakeholders to foster a collaborative environment, enhancing competitiveness and differentiation while ensuring service excellence.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who have the following qualifications: 

A degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Business, or a related field is required. Demonstrated experience in B2B sales within the industrial market, specifically in managing large key accounts. Proficiency in English and Spanish is essential for daily oral/written communication. Willingness to travel, with approximately 50% of time dedicated to business trips.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: 

Management of new product and application development projects. Experience with industrial tapes and adhesives (a plus). Experience in the disposables personal care market (desirable).
