The incumbent reports to the Assistant Representative in FAO Brazil - Programme

Technical Focus

Conduct a comparative and propositional study of the legal framework of the Agricultural Activity Guarantee Program (Proagro), aiming to analyze the different guidelines and legal provisions governing its operation, highlighting any gaps and/or bottlenecks, and presenting proposals with monitoring and oversight strategies for the Program.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Conduct a survey and analysis of the legislation surrounding Proagro.
• Deepen the comparative analysis of the activities performed by the entities involved in Proagro, within their respective competencies, based on current legislation.
• Identify and map critical areas of greater relevance to the MDA within Proagro.
• Develop a prospective scenario indicating potential adjustments and enhancements to regulations relevant to Proagro.
• Participate in project coordination meetings to align strategies and ensure consistency in consultancy actions


CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE FOLLOWING: 


Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Sciences or Human Sciences (according to the Capes/CNPq knowledge areas table)
• In case of having a Bachelor’s degree, at least of 8 (eight) years of experience the Agricultural Activity Guarantee Program (Proagro) OR Specialization and 06 years of experience in the requested areas, OR Master's degree and 05 years of experience in the requested areas OR Ph.D. and 03 years of experience in the requested areas.
• Working knowledge (level C) of Portuguese and English or Spanish;
• Brazilian Nationality or other legally authorized to work in Brazil.
