Are you a Farmlands shareholder or the child of a Farmlands shareholder or staff member, currently studying at tertiary level in a discipline related to the primary sector?

If so, you have the opportunity to apply for the Tom Cranswick Memorial Awards - a $10,000 grant to help you during your primary sector study.

WHAT IS THE AWARD? 

This Memorial Award is in honour of Tom Cranswick, a founding Farmlands Director who served on the Board until 1985, including 20 years as Chairman. His passion and dedication was a major influence in the establishment of Farmlands. The Cranswick family has been hugely supportive of Farmlands and it is an honour to offer these Awards in his memory.

In 2023 the Award consists of one $10,000 Award. 

HOW TO APPLY

Applications open 1 August and must be made online at this careers site. 

Please ensure you have your CV, a Letter of Application and information pertaining to your proposed course of study ready for when you apply.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be eligible for considerationyou must be:

aged 25 or under, as at 30 June 2023 a Farmlands shareholder or child of a Farmlands shareholder, whose shareholding has been continuous for two years or more; or a child of a current Farmlands employee whose parent has completed at least two years permanent continuous service currently undertaking a course of tertiary study that is directly associated to the New Zealand rural/primary sector and intending to continue study in 2024 (note: applicants who have not yet commenced their first year of tertiary study are not eligible to apply).
