Production Supervisor

We are looking for a Production Supervisor to join our team. 
Based in Joinville, Brazil, reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for controlling the activities carried out in the different stages of production. For quality and maintenance control, organizing and guiding the services performed by the teams, in order to guarantee productivity goals, in accordance with production plans, quality standards, procedures and technical, safety, environment and health standards. Manage the productive team, evaluating and planning the training of employees. Manage the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Control the indicators of your shift, ensuring the achievement of the unit's objectives.

• Perform management of the production, maintenance and quality team, making immediate decision-making to solve problems.

• Carry out Improvement Management in your area of responsibility.

• Perform the management of tools and components used in the process, aiming to improve their useful life.

• Carry out the development and management of new materials, processes and suppliers, aiming at reducing costs.

• Ensure that all activities in the production phases meet the specified product/process requirements.

• Perform people management, ensuring that all operators are trained to perform their duties, and that they have received all the necessary guidance.

• Plan new work methodologies.

• Carry out the performance evaluation and provide feedback as defined by the unit.

• Conduct continuous plant improvement projects.

• Contribute to the development of employees' technical and decision-making skills.

• Utilize plant data analysis tools for performance metrics tracking, reporting and troubleshooting.

• Prepare and conduct daily rotation meetings.

• Ensure that all products meet the requirements defined by the Plant's Quality Management Systems.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety procedures and ISO14001 and ISO 45001 guidelines.

• Ensuring that activities are adhered to and that the operational level is involved in the continuous improvement system and the Unit's QMS, EMS and SGS procedures.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a person with the following skills and motivations:

• Degree in Engineering in the area of Metallurgy, Production or Mechanics.

• Minimum four (4) years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience in the copper transformation industry will be an advantage.

• Focus on Quality and the Customer, versatile and able to interact with customers and other visitors.

• Demonstrate administrative aptitude, time management and the ability to multitask.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and teamwork.

• Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.

• Proactive.

• Ability to effectively engage with stakeholders across the enterprise, from operations to the board.

• Passion for learning and personal growth, with a significant focus on industry developments.

• The ability to motivate others is crucial, as is a solid level of technical understanding of the manufacturing process, products and machinery.

• Experience in managing process improvements and/or maintenance will be appreciated.

• Availability to work in shift rotation.

• Knowledge of the English language is required.
