An exciting opportunity to integrate the Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) team in Julius Baer Brazil, covering all FCC/AML related topics, with a close focus on KYC Due Diligence requirements and the review and approval of client onboarding. Brazil FCC team is embedded in the Compliance Team in the CRO division based in São Paulo.

YOUR CHALLENGE

KEY CHALLENGES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:

Maintain a sound and effective FCC framework, in line with KYC and AML regulations and industry standards and global best practices, at client onboarding and during the client life cycle To conduct KYC Due Diligence assessments for new and existing clients, focusing on KYC documentation, identification and verification of clients/prospects – adhering to the Group’s policies, procedures and the relevant regulatory requirements Perform clients risk assessments based on Julius Baer Group’s KYC requirements, applicable policies, market best practices, Brazilian AML and KYC laws, regulation and requirements Work closely with the Commercial team by advising on KYC requirements, providing training and sharing best practice examples and answering ad-hoc queries Act as Second Line of Defence in the management and control of key AML, Anti-bribery and Corruption, Sanctions and Embargos and Cross Border risks

YOUR PROFILE

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor´s degree or equivalent At least 3 to 5 years of professional experience with specific FCC/KYC expertise in the area of client onboarding/client review Preferably experience in financial institutions in a Risk/Compliance function or in Audit or Consulting role Knowledge and understanding of the Brazilian regulations and International standards with respect to Due Diligence / client onboarding Excellent command of Portuguese and English (written and spoken) knowledge of business, products, operational tools, front related systems and processes and excellent analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills, as well as a high level of flexibility and adaptability to changes Ability to interact with the management, build trusted partnerships, deliver sound opinion and present relevant solutions A positive, forward-thinking personality and can-do attitude with a dedicated interest towards regulations compliance and risk topics
