About the team
The Roku Content Merchandising team’s mission is to enable users to discover, acquire, and engage with all the amazing content available across the Roku platform and The Roku Channel. We partner closely with teams across the company including Content Acquisition, Content Operations, Product, Engineering, and Marketing to build and manage delightful and relevant experiences that leverage both algorithmic machine learning and editorial curation, making it easy for users to get the best entertainment experience possible from their Roku devices.
About the role
We are seeking a highly collaborative and detail-oriented self-starter with a passion for content (FAST & AVOD) to join the Merchandising team as a Content Merchandising Associate. This individual will bring local market expertise to help build, launch, and maintain complex projects with numerous cross-functional stakeholders.
This role will be based in São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro and report to the International Merchandising Manager. Fluency in English and Portuguese is required for this role (working proficiency in Spanish is a plus)
What you’ll be doing
Work closely with your Merchandising teammates and cross-functional counterparts (Product, Engineering, Acquisitions, Creative, Analytics, and business teams) to launch and manage FAST channels & VOD content across multiple Spanish and Portuguese-speaking territories Manage daily operations for portfolio products including daily content curation from content partners and The Roku Channel, as well as product and process documentation workflow, representation in key cross-functional stakeholder meetings, etc. Implement market strategies that drive repeat user engagement, positive sentiment, and delight Pulling and analyzing data to inform merchandising strategies Use market-level expertise and data interpretation to inform content and product strategy decisions and operations
We’re excited if you have
A minimum of 3+ years’ experience in media, content curation, content programming, editorial strategy, or product strategy Knowledge of the FAST, Live TV, and VOD media landscape in Brazil and LatAm Bachelor’s degree in film, media, marketing, business, or equivalent experience Fluency in English and Portuguese (required) and working proficiency in Spanish is a bonus You must love working with content Flexible work schedule (weekdays and occasional weekends) Experience working with content management tools (CMS) Strong project management skills, attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Jira; Airtable and Confluence experience a plus Skilled communicator with excellent verbal, presentation, and written communications Ability to work independently, but aware of when/how to ask for assistance
