DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Administrative Associate - Level III Logistics to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Distribution Business Unit in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Efficient Data Management: By accurately gathering, compiling, and verifying data, you ensure that reports, presentations, and forms are reliable and informative.

Enhanced Decision-Making: Your research and preparation of statistical reports provide valuable insights that aid in informed decision-making.

Streamlined Operations: Coordinating documents and managing data entry helps maintain smooth and efficient departmental operations.

Effective Communication: Preparing correspondence, arranging meetings, and handling inquiries ensures clear and timely communication within and outside the organization.

Financial Accuracy: By preparing and submitting payment documentation, you help maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely payments.

Policy and Procedure Maintenance: Documenting and maintaining departmental policies and procedures ensures consistency and compliance.

Supportive Team Member: Participating in business improvement projects and acting as a resource for colleagues fosters a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Professional Representation: Receiving visitors and managing conference calls professionally represents the organization positively to external parties.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Strong Organizational Skills: Efficiently manage and track multiple shipments, documents, and communications to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.

Attention to Detail: Accurately process clearing instructions, invoices, and compliance documentation to avoid errors and ensure regulatory adherence.

Effective Communication: Maintain clear and open communication with internal teams, freight forwarders, and customers to prevent service failures and promptly address any issues.

Problem-Solving Abilities: Quickly identify and resolve blockages in the transportation channel, handle claims for lost or damaged goods, and ensure all follow-ups are tracked and completed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/ Experience:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
