GM Financial International Operations conducts business in Latin America and China. International Operations offers a wide range of wholesale and retail automotive financing products to dealers and their customers. The strength of the international business lies in its ability to tailor its products to meet unique dealer needs, consumer preferences and national requirements in local markets. Latin American country operations include Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru.

About the role

The Business Analyst works with various teams to drive successful execution of business strategies across Latin America. This multifaceted position is responsible developing clear, concise and unambiguous requirements that support new features/outcomes for business operations. This role will assist other team members to carry-out defined deliverables that lead to positive outcomes for GM Financial.

The ideal candidate will be adept in influencing trade-off decisions for IT initiatives and demonstrate proficiencies in Agile and/or SAFe delivery frameworks to help transform our business with incremental product delivery.

What you need

Candidates should

Minimum of 3-4 years of experience working in a Business Analyst role or equivalent. Degree level educated or equivalent experience in IT. Available to travel internationally for business purposes on short notice, potentially for extended periods of time (up to 2 weeks) Available to work off-hours when needed to product deployment releases, and product sustain. Demonstrated experience within the following project methodologies ~ Agile, Scrum, Waterfall or Hybrid

Preferable:

Business Analyst certification or demonstrated work experience Financial services industry experience Experience working with or managing third party suppliers

Candidates must

Have a proven track record of developing and delivering business requirements, business process design and functional design. The ability to thoroughly understand the business issues surrounding IT matters. Have strong analytical thinking and superior problem-solving skills. Have strong attention to detail, with the ability to present complex scenarios and produce clear and concise documentation. Be knowledgeable of requirements definition processes, modelling methods and tools. Possess a demonstrated understanding of SDLC process is required Have strong relationship management abilities across a diverse stakeholder population with excellent written and oral communication skills. Have the ability to communicate and manage expectations of key stakeholders at all levels within the organization. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams. Possess excellent working relationship skills and strong customer focus. Have effective at working under pressure and to tight deadlines whilst maintaining quality deliverables. Be skilled in time management, planning, prioritizing and executing tasks. Maintain an ability to be flexible to working locations, working hours and international travel to support a global business. Demonstrate an ability to operate with the utmost integrity and consistently display a positive attitude to work and the various challenges encountered in project delivery. Be well versed in the use of O365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), MS Teams, Azure DevOps, and other collaboration tools. Demonstrate a proficiency in in the following languages – English, Spanish

What you will be doing

Produce clear unambiguous business requirements to support change delivery within the Commercial Wholesale Program for International Operations, working with stakeholders and SMEs from the business, IT, and external third parties to gather, analyze and document business functional / non-functional requirements. Works closely with external vendors and development teams, from various countries to ensure developed requirements are clear, concise and delivered in accordance with business expectations Develop and demonstrate clear understanding of overall business and corporate objectives and while working under broad project direction with the ability to self-define specific tasks as deemed necessary. Champion country-based changes (application and parameter ) for new/updated functionality and associated priorities to support business operations within GMF’s Latin American countries and Brazil. Maximize benefits of IT investments through ongoing promotion and utilization of best practices, driving for common solutions across LAO (Latin America Operations) Facilitate workshops that deepen overall understanding of business functional / nonfunctional requirements Participate with the evaluation, set up, test and implementation of application configuration, and testing of test cases using pre-defined management tools Participate in problem resolution and devise recommendations for business improvement. Document and present recommendations to key stakeholders, ensuring detail is understood and approved in accordance with project timeframes. Review of all vendor-produced requirements and solution documentation to ensure requirements have been accurately captured, clearly and concisely presented, and all elements have been addressed. Undertake the development / creation of “as-is” and ‘to-be” process mapping and business models. Contribute jointly with business SMEs to define and document the future state of business processes. Evaluate software packages and perform gap analysis to identify suitability for business requirements. Work with the business, Quality Assurance, vendors and development teams to facilitate and support the full UAT cycle including test script design, test plan strategy. Resolve test execution dependencies ensuring cross country synergy and coordination. Coordinate and support training activities and knowledge transfer where appropriate to business SME’s. Effectively manage and build relationships with vendors and development teams. Take a proactive and hands-on approach to project work and adapt in terms of style and activities undertaken. Identify and capture risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies ensuring full impacts have been understood and analyzed whilst adopting a proactive approach to resolution and mitigation.
