To thrive in this development career, you'll need to be an expert in Java and have a firm grasp on Spring Boot . Each sprint cycle could have a heavy front-end focus, a heavy back-end focus, or a mix of both, so you'll need experience working with front-end, scripting, and back-end technologies. Availability to work in a hybrid work model, office located in Porto Alegre.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

  • Agile. You'll start each day with a scrum, working in a team to understand responsibilities, identify issues, and communicate coding priorities while choosing user stories to complete. You will also participate in other agile ceremonies, including scheduled sprint demos, where you will present your work to up to 90 stakeholders.
  • Development. Working in sprints, you must keep up with timelines and coding standards. Most of your daily schedule will be software development, but you will also test your code before submitting it to QA for final testing. You won't just focus on development in this role. You will also be responsible for testing and deployment.
  • Continuous Learning. You will attend sessions to actively collaborate with other developers to share ideas or show what you've learned. An eagerness to learn will help you keep up with ever-changing technologies and maintain the ability to create the best tools for our clients.
  • Support. You're working on products currently in use. You will act as a point of contact for one day/week, supporting your clients for any urgent issues that require resolution. You'll start those days with your regular work activity but will have to switch gears to a support role as needed throughout your assigned support day.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE YOU’LL NEED:

  • Strong backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot;
  • Strong development experience with Node;
  • Experience with Oracle or Mysql or PL SQL;
  • Experience with AWS and Kafka;
  • Experience with cache data-store like Redis;
  • Experience with log analysis using Elastic Search or Splunk;
  • Strong experience with version control like GIT;
  • Strong experience with dependency management with Gradle or Maven;
  • Strong experience with Intellij or Eclipse;
  • Experience with architecture model like Hexagonal Architecture or Clean Architecture;
  • Advanced English.
  • Technical Design – ensuring that all work undertaken is of sound design and fits in with the existing architecture.
  • Experience on designing solutions.
  • Technically guides the team to deliver optimal/frictionless client experiences.
  • Participates in requirements gathering and reviews, assesses technical feasibility, assists in defining solutions, and prepares development artifacts where required.
  • Write technical tasks to be taken by team members.
  • Interested in the business reasons and needs.
  • Technical Analysis – analyzing systems, problems, programs, formulating solutions.
  • Conducts code walk through and reviews with team members.
  • Communicates progress and issues to manager in timely fashion.
  • Monitors changes in technology.
  • Remains up to date on current industry trends and internal architecture practices, principles, models, and standards; trains technical staff on new technologies.
