NOV Rig - Aftermarket is currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Specialist to join our team at Rua Piloto Rommel Oliveira Garcia, 1357, Bellavista - Imboassica, Macaé, Brazil. Primary responsibilities of this role include:
**JOB DUTIES**
- Analyze current and historical data for project part requirements, scheduling plans, sourcing, warehousing, production, and deliveries to identify trends and create effective action plans.
- Create periodic part forecasts for internal and external customers using qualitative and quantitative forecasting methods to plan demand effectively.
- Analyze, monitor, and report supply-demand imbalance to develop strategies to ensure steady and time-phased materials supply.
- Analyze, direct, and report OES (obsolescence, excess, and surplus) inventory allocation to aftermarket projects.
- Review global reports to identify options for OES usage.
- Collaborate with Production Planning Control (PPC) analysts and procurement/ purchasing teams at NOV Rig Technologies Manufacturing and Spares groups to ensure the ERP data integrity necessary for effective materials planning.
- Predict delivery dates for upcoming projects to support planning and scheduling teams.
- Actively support materials sourcing/purchasing teams in analyzing vendor on-time delivery performance and developing optimal sourcing strategies.
- Develop qualitative and quantitative strategies to optimize the reorder quantities and safety stock levels.
- Analyze cost variances and lead times of inventory stock items to report their impact on project margins, operating profit, and on-time delivery performance.
- Report inventory level status (quantity and valuation) periodically to the aftermarket management and determine strategies to optimize inventory levels for effective working capital management.
- Identify potential “dead” inventory to scrap to help manage working capital.
- Evaluate market dynamics and insights by working with operations managers to determine future customer demand and take actions for preparedness.
- Support the development of improved end-to-end supply chain processes.
- Provide training, leadership, and procedural documentation to ensure system discipline.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in supply chain management/engineering, industrial engineering, operation research preferred, or equivalent experience
- APICS CPIM, CSCP certification preferred, or in process
- Experience with supply chain management and execution
- Lean manufacturing knowledge and experience preferred
**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimal travel required (less than 5%, internationally)
