What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Participate in the preparation and review of proposed Statements of Work (SOWs) and Statements of Objectives (SOOs)
  • Assist the Contracting Officer in developing acquisition strategies and source selection processes
  • Conduct cost and price analysis of contractor proposals to support negotiations
  • Review incoming invoices for compliance and maintain contract files
  • Monitor contractor performance and assist with contract/task order closeouts
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • 10+ years of acquisition experience and a Bachelor’s degree preferred (additional experience may substitute for degree)
  • Strong understanding of the contracting lifecycle and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
  • Experience supporting multi-functional technical teams for large, complex programs
  • Ability to pass a government background investigation; U.S. citizenship is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • 3+ years of experience with DHS Acquisition and knowledge of DHS HSAR
  • DAWIA, FAC, or NCMA Contracting or Program Management Certifications
  • 3+ years of experience as a warranted Level II contracting officer
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
