Safeguarding Ebury, our existing Clients and prospective Clientrelationships from financial crime risk - including money laundering,terrorist financing, bribery and corruption, fraud, sanctions risk, tax evasionand reputational riskPerforming anti-financial crime checks as part of the Ebury Onboardingprocess for corporate clients in compliance with relevant legislative,regulatory and internal requirementsComprehensive CDD and EDD checks for corporate clients, including theKYC process, identification and analysis of complex ownership structures,financial statements and transaction patternsCDD/EDD analysis across all types of legal entities and business sectorsin a variety of jurisdictions with an emphasis on local clientsDirect contact with clientsPresentation of Ebury's onboarding requirements to clients in a clear and compliant mannerIdentification of red flags and exposure to financial crime risk, including escalation to Compliance and Senior Management where requiredMaking risk-based decisions to onboard or reject applicationsEfficient management of a personal portfolio of onboarding casesProactive follow-up with clients and sales representatives to ensure timely completion of onboarding analysisDocumenting client files in a structured format compliant with internal requirementsIdentifying opportunities for improvement within the onboarding processAssist in preparation and management of data and information required for internal and external auditsSupport ad-hoc projects within the department and wider business as requiredValidation of checks carried out by other members of the teamSupport in training deliverySupporting the Supervisor with team management responsibilitiesRequirements:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience conducting CDD and EDD withindividuals and corporate, complex client segments including Trust &Corporate Service Providers, Non Governmental Organisations andCharities, MIFID and Funds in Brazil and/or LATAM.Fluency in English and PortugueseAdvanced knowledge of red flags and financial crime typologies relevant tothe payments and FX spaceProactive, with the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced andhigh-pressure environmentHighly organised, with the ability to work to deadlines, multi-task, andprioritise and re-prioritise workload as neededDiligent, with excellent attention to detailEffective critical thinking skills, with the ability to find solutions to problemsindependentlyStrong communication skills, both written and verbal including workingalongside the Front OfficeCo-operative, and comfortable working in a team environment, includingremote teamsCurious and engaged, who takes ownership of their own learning journeyby asking questions and seeking out new informationAdaptable, with the ability to cope with changing products, processes andproceduresMotivated and driven, with a desire to make Ebury a successExperience of direct client contact within financial services is a plus#LI-LK1#LI-HYBRIDPlease apply with an English CVWe believe in inclusion.
