Software Development Lead This is a leadership role that involves guiding and directing the development of software systems. Key Responsibilities: Lead projects from conception to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications, as well as oversee the work of junior/mid-level engineers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business solutions that meet customer needs. Develop automation scripts to streamline operations, such as evidence assembly, reconciliations, SLA timers, notifications, and approvals. Model data using SQLAlchemy and other libraries on MySQL/MariaDB; utilize ClickHouse and S3/Parquet for data storage and analytics. Deploy services on AWS using Docker and Kubernetes (Helm/Kustomize, GitOps optional). Define infrastructure using Terraform (modules, state, policy checks) to ensure scalability, reliability, and security. Add observability features, including logs, metrics, and traces, to monitor application performance and identify bottlenecks. Implement CI/CD pipelines with TeamCity and GitHub Actions to automate testing, deployment, and rollback processes. Collaborate with teams on API contracts, performance optimization, and security best practices. Requirements: Proven experience in designing and operating REST APIs at scale. Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure management, including modules, remote state, and policy as code. Knowledge of payments/fintech systems, including disputes/chargebacks, reconciliation, and integrations. Experience with orchestration/workflows and event-driven patterns, including human-in-the-loop scenarios. Proficiency in AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and observability tools. Strong understanding of frontend/backend development with Angular 17+, TypeScript/RxJS, NgRx or Signals, secure API integration, unit/e2e tests. Proficiency in Python (3.12+ preferred), including typing/mypy, async/multiprocessing, testing, profiling. Strong SQL skills, including knowledge of SQLAlchemy and columnar databases like MySQL and ClickHouse. Systems basics, including networking, HTTP, TLS, concurrency, and performance optimization. Nice to have: Airflow/Prefect/Dagster, FastAPI/Flask, Angular Nx/NgRx, Cypress/Playwright.
