About the Role The Risk Manager (AVP) will strengthen the company’s risk management framework, with focus on financial risks , and regulatory reporting for a financial institution in Brazil. This role plays a critical function in ensuring robust risk practices, aligned with Banco Central do Brasil (Bacen) requirements, internal risk appetite, and group standards. Experience in designing risk processes for regulatory authorization is a strong advantage. Responsibilities Develop, enhance, and maintain the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, ensuring alignment with BCB, CMN Resolutions, and group risk standards. Define and update risk policies, risk appetite statements (RAS), and risk taxonomy. Support risk governance forums, including preparation of materials for Risk Committees and Board‑level reporting. Lead risk assessment models, monitoring, and controls across lending products, investments, credit, and FIDC structures. Oversee operational risk management, including risk & control self‑assessments (RCSA), incident reporting, KRI monitoring, third‑party risk, and business continuity aspects. Evaluate new products, initiatives, and partnerships, conducting Risk & Compliance Assessment (RCA) and issuing signoffs. Coordinate periodic submissions to Bacen, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. Prepare risk‑related regulatory documentation and respond to RFIs, audits, and supervisory requests. Support the company’s regulatory authorization process, including designing risk controls tailored for licensing requirements. Develop and enhance risk dashboards, models, and automated reporting for credit, operational, and financial risk indicators. Use data insights to inform business decisions and risk mitigation strategies. Skills, Experiences & Qualifications Hands‑on leadership style with the ability to make sound technical decisions. Experience in structuring risk process for financial or payment institutions , including regulatory compliance requirements. Bachelor's degree in business, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, or related field. 7+ years of experience in Risk functions within financial institutions, fintechs or risk metrics platforms. Strong knowledge of Bacen and CMN regulations (ex.: Res. 4.557, 4.970, 4.953). Prior involvement in Bacen authorization/licensing projects is highly valued. Fluency in Portuguese and English (mandatory). Strong analytical mindset and quantitative skills. Structured problem‑solving and risk‑based decision making. High level of ownership, organization, and stakeholder management.
