Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead an Engineering Team within a renowned American fintech organization. This is a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking company at the forefront of financial technology innovation. You will bring expertise in software engineering and a background in the fintech industry.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Software Engineering Manager to lead and inspire our talented engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for building high-quality software products. As a Software Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the direction of our software development efforts and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.


Requirements

API’s development and SDK’s from the client side experience.

Ideally 5 years of Management experience.

Software Architecture background highly desired.

Experience working with Remote teams, desired.

Fintech industry experience is a must have.

English skills C1 or higher


Main Duties:

Build a team of developers (Nearshore)

Build high-scale and high-quality distributed systems.

Build and delivering mission-critical, 24x7 production software systems.


Responsibilities:

Vision and Mission: Set the vision, mission, charter, purpose, and goals for the software engineering team, ensuring alignment with the overall company strategy.

Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Performance Management: Implement performance management processes, including setting clear goals, conducting regular performance evaluations, and providing constructive feedback.

Retention and Development: Develop and implement strategies for employee retention, professional development, and career growth, ensuring high levels of team engagement and satisfaction.

Project Oversight: Oversee the design, development, and deployment of software solutions, ensuring they meet high standards of quality, performance, and security.

Cross-functional Collabora tion: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Design, and QA, to define project requirements, scope, and timelines.

Best Practices: Drive the adoption of best practices in software development, including agile methodologies, code reviews, testing, and documentation.

Problem Solving: Identify and address technical challenges, bottlenecks, and risks, and implement effective solutions to mitigatethem.

Continuous Improvement : Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and incorporate them into the development process.

Strategic Planning: Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making, aligning engineering efforts with business goals and objectives.

Resource Management: Manage resource allocation, budgeting, and staffing to ensure optimal team performance and project deli
