Could It Be You?Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Software Engineering, Marketing Platform Engineering to lead our Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) initiatives within the Marketing automation area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing technologies, extensive experience with Adobe Experience Platform, and a proven track record of leading engineering teams to deliver scalable and innovative solutions.What’s it like working as a Senior Manager, Software Engineering, Marketing Platform Engineering at Questrade?Reporting to the Director, Production & Operations, Engineering you will play a key role in translating Questrade’s direction for the overall systems aligning the technology roadmap within the Marketing technology domain. In partnership with the Director, identify significant architectural patterns and understand the impact on teams, advocate for strategic technology investments and roadmap alignment with the broader IT Strategy. Manage Engineering squads, including overseeing dependencies and long-term goals. Projects can be large and complex;
this role is focused onsetting the direction for the overall systems aligning the technology roadmap within the Marketing technology domain.Adobe Experience Platform is the centralized and connected data foundation that powers customer experience management across Adobe Real-Time CDP, Adobe Journey Optimizer, and Adobe Target. This role will involve the scaling out of the platform to multiple Lines of Business (Customer Journeys) making long term decisions that will guide the rollout.Drive the strategic vision and implementation of AEP solutions to enhance our digital marketing capabilities.Oversee the design, development, and deployment of AEP components.Ensure seamless integration of AEP with other marketing technologies and data sources.Manage multiple engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including platforms, marketing, data science, and IT support, to gather requirements and define project scope.Ensure project plans are maintained with status reports and documentation.Stay current with industry trends and advancements in marketing automation.Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team.Ensure the scalability, performance, and security of AEP implementations.Strong in Data Engineering and System Integration.Experience in Content Management Systems (CMS) would be advantageous.Partner with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.Communicate project progress, challenges, and successes to senior management and other stakeholders.Act as a subject matter expert for AEP, providing insights and recommendations to drive business growth.Champion the implementation of IT policies across multiple teams, influencing the department's overall compliance landscape.Oversee the development and optimization of department-wide processes, ensuring they incorporate evolving IT/Cyber governance best practices.Strategic partner with governance teams, advocating for necessary policy updates and contributing to risk assessments.So are YOU our next Senior Manager, Software Engineering, Marketing Platform Engineering? You are, if you have…Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Extensive experience with Adobe Experience Platform and its components (Adobe Real-Time CDP, Adobe Journey Optimizer, and Adobe Target).Proven track record of managing and delivering complex engineering projects in the digital marketing space.Strong understanding of financial services and digital marketing trends.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud platforms/capabilities such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Familiarity with data privacy regulations and compliance in the financial services industry.
