The LATAM Operations Compliance Team ensures Amazon's warehousing operations meet food safety, sanitation, and product integrity standards. In Brazil, this includes aligning with ANVISA, MAPA, and applicable local legislation, while enabling scalable and efficient operational models. This role is focused on diverse warehousing formats—including fulfillment centers, sortation hubs and other storage models—each with specific compliance demands. The team works across business functions to implement practical, risk-based food safety programs that protect customer trust and enable long-term growth. Key job responsibilities - Design, localize, and improve Amazon Food Safety programs for diverse warehousing operational models, ensuring compliance with Brazilian regulations (e.g., ANVISA RDCs, MAPA Normativas) and internal standards. - Implement food safety protocols across various warehousing settings, adapting to different process flows, layout constraints, and operational dynamics. - Oversee performance of third-party service providers (e.g., pest control, sanitation, food-safe waste disposal), ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and internal KPIs. - Develop and deliver training tailored to different site formats, empowering associates and leaders with clear, actionable food safety practices. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Ops, Engineering, Tech, Procurement) to embed food safety in new process designs and day-to-day operations. - Monitor metrics and leverage data platforms to assess execution, identify non-compliance trends, and support decision-making. - Conduct structured audits and reviews to verify compliance, drive standardization, and support site readiness across all operational models. - Lead or support resolution of food safety incidents, including root cause analysis and implementation of preventive actions. - Develop SOPs, technical documentation, and clear business narratives to ensure consistency and transparency of food safety execution. A day in the life In this role, you'll work across multiple warehousing formats to ensure food safety protocols are consistently implemented. Your day may involve reviewing audit results, analyzing vendor performance, preparing a business case for process improvement, or working with operational teams to close findings. You'll balance strategic program improvements with hands-on support to operational teams, ensuring compliance scales in line with business needs. About the team Food Safety Brazil, part of the LATAM Operations Compliance organization, leads risk-based food safety programs tailored to the warehousing network. - Strong written communication skills in both Portuguese and English.
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
