Job Description
Senior Manager position to act as the primary Compliance Officer for Samsung's Latin America business, serving as a trusted advisor and compliance leader. This position will implement and oversee the compliance program at both regional and subsidiaries levels, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations of Latin America, including Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Panama and Peru. This role requires the Compliance Officer to collaborate extensively with the broader Legal and Compliance team to uphold Samsung's global standards and will advise stakeholders on the compliance implications of business decisions.
Key Job Responsabilities
Serve as the designated Compliance professional in accordance with local regulations.
Oversee and administer the compliance program for Samsung Latin America.
Develop, maintain, and enforce compliance policies and procedures, ensuring ongoing adherence of all applicable regulations, such as labor, fair competition, anti-bribery, anti-corruptions, etc.
Conduct due diligences and maintain strong relationship with key stakeholders.
Ensure day-to-day compliance with periodic activities, such as internal audits, communication campaigns and trainings.
Identify, assess and mitigate legal and compliance risks specific to the Latin America business through effective controls and monitoring.
Lead and oversee ethics investigations into ethics and integrity incidents, utilizing investigative techniques and data analysis to detect irregularities.
Stay informed on regulatory developments in the Latin America region and assess impacts on compliance and business operations. Produce timely and accurate reports to Senior management and Global Office, maintaining compliance with all obligations.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Law required.
Prior experience at a multinational company and/or Law firms.
Specialization or Master's Degree in Compliance, Corporate Governance or related corporate areas is desirable.
Compliance certification (CCEP, CPC-A) will be considered as a plus.
Advanced English Skills.
Advanced Spanish Skills.
Experience and knowledge of handling compliance programs at corporate environment with desirable knowledge of the Latin America region.
Sound judgment in selecting the best approach to resolve complex issues.
Strong team orientation with excellent skills to foster collaboration across diverse teams.
Ability to engage with all levels of management to achieve objectives.
Outstanding organizational skills, delivering accurate work and meeting tight deadlines consistently.
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priories and adapting quickly to changing business needs.
