Latam Sr. Manager Indirect Taxes

**Role and Responsibilities**:
- Overall process owner for LATAM indirect taxes for NCHC
- Lead one direct report
- Manage the relationship with the regional co-source provider, including the review of material indirect tax returns
- Manage and work with regional external advisors
- Manage indirect tax audits such as but not limited to VAT, real & personal property tax, local gross receipts, local business licenses, occupancy taxes and local annual licenses
- Lead the identification and implementation of process improvement opportunities and industry best practices arising from the regional indirect tax compliance and audit processes
- Lead the identification and implementation of regional indirect tax planning/refund opportunities in LATAM
- Lead in interpreting indirect tax policy in LATAM
- Partner with LATAM Tax Planning Director and business partners to advise on the tax effects of proposed and enacted indirect tax legislation
- Manage and support indirect tax technology initiatives, partnering with the Tax Technology and IT teams on the assessment of the current state technology landscape, design of future state, and prioritization of technology investments for indirect tax processes including digital tax administration, customer dispute automation, and optimal tax payment processes
- Lead the collaboration with Global Tax Planning and Global Disputes Group on various special projects, acquisitions/divestitures, supply chain initiatives, internal and external audits, etc.
- Work with tax technology and IT teams on regional indirect tax user requirements on OneS4 implementation
- Ensure a strong internal control environment including compliance with all SOX, internal audit, and NCHC requirements
- Collaborate closely with NCHC Tax Operations teams (Compliance/Reporting) to ensure proper documentation and accurate compliance
**Qualifications** Qualifications - Required**:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree
- A major in Finance, Accounting, Tax, or related field
- A minimum of 8 years of tax experience; indirect tax experience
- Broad experience in managing co-source providers
- The ability to anticipate changing requirements and effectively plan across the enterprise landscape
- Individuals must have experience leading teams; be able to recommend and implement process improvements and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience working with external advisors and co-source providers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to speak English, Portuguese and Spanish
- Ability to communicate effectively with business partners
- Strong Analytical skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated learning agility
