Job Title: IT Infrastructure Lead This role emphasizes leadership, planning, and cross-functional collaboration across global teams.Leadership is the cornerstone of success in this position. Planning involves analyzing infrastructure needs and coordinating with stakeholders to achieve goals. Lead and guide a small infrastructure team across compute, storage, and network domains. Team management is key to ensuring smooth operations. Coordinate infrastructure tasks, timelines, and dependencies; ensure alignment with technical goals. Effective communication and project management skills are essential for success. Facilitate change windows, maintenance schedules, and upgrades with internal and external stakeholders. This requires strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. Track and escalate risks, issues, and blockers with clear context and recommended actions. Risk management is critical in ensuring the stability of the infrastructure. Maintain documentation, dashboards, and status reports for leadership and technical teams. Documentation is vital for knowledge sharing and future reference. Support vendor coordination for hardware logistics, remote hands, and service delivery. This requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ensure compliance with change management and security protocols. Security is paramount in maintaining the integrity of the infrastructure. Organize and lead team standups, working sessions, and stakeholder updates. Leadership skills are crucial in motivating and guiding the team towards common goals. Required Skills: Strong experience in IT infrastructure (3-5 years). Experience in managing and maintaining IT infrastructure is essential. Experience leading infrastructure initiatives in hybrid or co-managed environments. Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills are required for success. Solid understanding of servers, virtualization, storage, networking, DNS, and monitoring. Technical knowledge is critical in making informed decisions. Proficiency with tools like Jira, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, or Smartsheet. Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools is beneficial. Strong communication and documentation skills across technical and non-technical audiences. Effective communication is vital for successful project execution. Ability to manage priorities across time zones and work independently. Adaptability and self-motivation are essential in today's fast-paced work environment. Nice to Have: Familiarity with ITIL, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices. Knowledge of industry best practices can be beneficial in improving processes. Experience with CMDB and inventory tools. Familiarity with asset management and tracking tools can enhance the overall efficiency of the team.
