Job description

BYD, the global leader in new energy vehicles, is looking for highly motivated and experienced Trade Marketing Manager to lead the development and execution of marketing strategies across Argentina. This role will be pivotal in driving brand growth, optimizing retail and distribution networks, and ensuring alignment between marketing and sales goals in the region.

Main responsibilities
  • Develop and execute marketing and trade marketing strategies tailored to Argentina markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local dealers, and partners to ensure successful execution of company plans and goals. Manage dealers’ marketing plan and execution successfully.
  • Plan and implement in-store and outdoor marketing activities, promotions, trade shows, and dealer programs to boost brand visibility and sales volume.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and sales data to make data-driven decisions and adjustments to strategies.
  • Manage budgets for marketing campaigns and ensure optimal allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams in Argentina and overseas teams to ensure cohesive execution of trade marketing plans.
  • Track and report on the effectiveness of trade marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Provide regular reports and insights on the effectiveness of trade marketing activities to senior management.
  • Identify and implement innovative marketing techniques to differentiate products in Argentina market.
Requirements and skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. (A Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Experience in trade marketing (with both marketing & commercial experience is a plus), preferably in the automotive, technology, or FMCG industries.
  • Experience working with dealers, distributors, or retail networks.
  • Strong knowledge of retail and distribution networks in Argentina, with a deep understanding of market dynamics and consumer behavior.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (Portuguese is a plus).
  • Experience in managing large-scale budgets and marketing campaigns.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment, with a focus on achieving results.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and tools is a plus.
  • Data analysis with tools.
  • Passionate, goal-oriented, problem solving approach.
